Privacy Policy

What we collect

Qixapp itself does not run any analytics, tracking pixels, or first-party cookies. We don't collect names, emails, IP addresses, usage statistics, or any other information directly. There's no account system, no login, and no server-side storage of anything you do with the tools.

What the tools do with your files

Every tool on Qixapp processes your files locally on your device. When you load a video into the frame extractor, that video never leaves your computer. The same applies to any future tool: image conversion, QR scanning, file processing, all of it happens in your browser using standard web technologies. We have no server that receives, stores, or processes your content.

Cookies we use

Qixapp uses one essential first-party cookie called qixapp_theme to remember whether you prefer light or dark mode. It contains nothing but the word "light" or "dark" and is stored only on your device. It is not used for tracking, advertising, or any other purpose.

If you accept analytics cookies through our consent banner, additional cookies from Google Analytics (such as _ga and _ga_*) will be set to measure how visitors use the site. These can be declined and your decision is remembered locally in your browser via localStorage.

Analytics we use

To understand how visitors find and use the site, we use two analytics services:

• Google Analytics 4 — measures pageviews, traffic sources, and basic user behavior. This requires your consent and is disabled by default until you accept via the cookie banner. We use Google Consent Mode v2 to ensure no tracking cookies are set before consent. IP addresses are anonymized.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics — privacy-friendly traffic measurement that does not use cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not collect personal information. It runs without requiring consent because it cannot identify individual visitors.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by clicking "Reject" on our cookie banner, by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on, or by enabling Do Not Track in your browser. To clear an existing decision and see the banner again, clear your browser's localStorage for this site.

Third-party advertising (Google AdSense)

This site is supported by ads served through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to:

• Show ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites
• Measure ad performance and detect invalid traffic
• Provide functionality that helps the site work properly with ads

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings or aboutads.info.

Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws)

Qixapp does not collect personal information directly. Files you process never reach our servers. The only first-party data we store on your device is the theme preference cookie and your cookie consent decision.

If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics may collect data such as your IP address (anonymized), browser, device, and pages viewed. Cloudflare Web Analytics collects similar information without using cookies. For data collected by these third parties, you can exercise your rights through their respective privacy controls (linked in the Analytics and Advertising sections above).

If you are visiting from a region with applicable privacy laws (such as the EU under GDPR, the UK under UK GDPR, or California under CCPA), the cookie consent banner that appears on first visit gives you the ability to accept or decline analytics and advertising cookies. Your decision is stored in your browser's localStorage and respected on subsequent visits.

Under GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise these rights regarding any data Qixapp may hold, contact us via the email below. For data held by Google or Cloudflare, please use their respective privacy tools.

Children's privacy

Qixapp is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including minors. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information through this site, please contact us so we can address it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top will be revised and any material changes will be summarized briefly. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
